Top tips for supplying goods and services to Aliaxis
When bidding for contracts issued by Aliaxis we recommend that you consider the following in your response.
Your chances of success will be greater if you consider these issues:
- Read the Tender carefully – make sure that you take time to fully read the tender document. The Aliaxis Purchasing team will have spent a fair amount of effort in structuring the tender in a particular format. Read the Instructions to Tender document (if included) and ensure that you comply with the tender requirements. Please ensure that you submit all information that is required.
- Research the requirement – make sure that you are fully aware of our requirement; respond specifically to the requirements of the specification even if you believe that our purchase requirements are better met via an alternative solution. If you would like to propose alternative solutions then you are able to do so provided it is accompanied by a response that is consistent with our specification.
- Search for the most cost effective solution – Aliaxis is of course interested in the most cost effective solution to our needs whilst always maintaining high safety and environmental standards and general all round good quality and value. To give yourself the best opportunity search for the most cost-effective solution to our requirements. By all means be creative and efficient in your price calculations.
- Include all relevant costs – in your tender including any relevant taxes. Aliaxis will not consider any additional costs post contract award that you have omitted in error.
- Be aware of any relevant legal issues – for example Health & Safety legislation etc. Even if not expressly stated in the tender conditions as a supplier you will be required to comply with all relevant legislation and applicable standards.
- Ask questions – clarify any doubts you have about the tender documents. If you have identified an item of varying interpretation a standard response will be issued to all bidders.
- Deadlines – ensure that your tender is received on the required response date. Late tenders may be returned un-opened.
- Keep items confidential – all Aliaxis tenders and their associated documentation is considered confidential and information provided is done so on the exclusive basis of assisting you in providing a tender. Please do not divulge the tender documents to any other party other than trustworthy sub-contractors that you may be considering to assist you with your bid or use the documentation for any other purpose. Likewise Aliaxis will not divulge any information provided by yourself as part of your tender.
