Purchasing Tools
Within the UK Aliaxis purchase their requirements in a variety of ways. Whilst we will always search for quality and value in our purchases we do vary our methods depending on the nature of the particular requirement.
Two of the purchasing methods that we employ are the use of an RBS purchasing card for relatively low-value items and the use of an e-sourcing platform called Newtron.
RBS Purchase Card
Should the products or services that you offer to Aliaxis be typically under £5,000 in value it is likely that we shall purchase our requirements via the use of a RBS purchase card.
All of our sites have purchase cards and you can find out a little more about the system and how to register with RBS to enable you to supply these lower value items to Aliaxis by reviewing the details of the method here.
E-Sourcing
Should the products or services that you offer be of a standard type of specification and where the volumes purchased are numerous then it is likely that we shall use an e-sourcing portal to undertake our purchases. This is a web based tool where tender documents, drawings etc. can be uploaded for you to view electronically or download as necessary. A simple template is then used to insert relevant prices and all responses can be returned to Aliaxis via the e-sourcing portal and thus there is no need for postal returns. The tool is quick and easy and training can be provided should you so require although probably unlikely.
One bonus opportunity for suppliers is that simply by registering on the e-sourcing portal you can be considered for supply opportunities from other users for their requirements. All of our sites have access to the e-sourcing portal.
