Aliaxis UK announce Organisation changes
In February Aliaxis announced a significant restructure of the UK business and management to bring together the manufacturing & logistics operations of Durapipe, Hunter, & Marley Plumbing & Drainage in the UK over the next few years.
Aliaxis have now announced that from 1st January 2010 a new UK organisational structure will be implemented in order to deliver the change.
Kevin Lawson, Managing Director GPS PE Pipe Systems will be appointed to the role of Aliaxis UK Operations and Finance Director. He will be responsible for:
- The combined manufacturing operations of Durapipe, Hunter, and Marley which will be re-branded ‘DHM Plastics
- The logistics operations based at Lenham;
- A new centralised Finance function; and
- The co-ordination of Aliaxis UK Central Services (HR, IT, Purchasing), who will continue to report to the respective Aliaxis functional heads.
Brian Blanchard, Managing Director Hunter Plastics will be appointed to the role of Aliaxis UK Building & Sanitary Director. He will be responsible for:
- The commercial activities of Hunter Plastics & Multikwik;
- The commercial activities of Marley Plumbing & Drainage;
- The overall activities of Marley Alutec. Bob Randall will continue in his role as MD of this business reporting directly to Brian; and
- The logistics activities at Woolwich.
Martin Gisbourne, Managing Director Durapipe will be appointed to the role of Aliaxis UK Utilities and Industry Director. He will be responsible for:
- The commercial activities of Durapipe;
- The business of GPS PE Pipe Systems; and
- The Durapipe logistics operation at Cannock.
Chris Nunn, Managing Director Marley Plumbing and Drainage will be retiring later in 2010 and from 1st January will be involved on special projects for the Group.
The UK activities will be co-ordinated by a new UK Board, comprising Giorgio Valle as Chairman, Corrado Mazzacano as Vice-Chairman, Brian Blanchard, Martin Gisbourne, and Kevin Lawson.
Apart from the centralisation of the UK finance function, the activities of Philmac UK and GPS Fittings are unaffected by this announcement.
