Aliaxis hold European Purchasing Conference
Aliaxis held its second European Purchasing conference at Friatec in Mannheim Germany and the event was attended by the whole of the UK team. In all over 30 Purchasing Specialists from 7 countries attended the event. The event was split into two distinct parts, the first day focusing on the strategic aspects of European Purchasing and the second day on more operation aspects. European Purchasing Director Paul Baigent hosted the event.
UK Purchasing Director Mick Ambrose presented on two topics at the conference one on raw materials and other market developments and a second on a European wide cost savings project.
Other members of the UK team also presented - Will Howard on recent developments on the e-sourcing and project management Pool4Tool platform and Jim Holloway and Dan Small on two of the category projects that they have worked on over the past year; forklift trucks and packaging respectively.
